Life Epitome

 

Thelma Wright Scroggins was born July 23, 1924 in Kaufman County, Texas to the parentage of the late Johhnie Wright and Maggie Bradley Wright. She was called home on September 12, 2012.

She received her education at Rockwall Public Schools. She met and married Murray B. Scroggins. Through this union they were blessed with 11 wonderful children.  She accepted Christ at an early age. She became a member of Cedar Grove Christian Church where she served faithfully until her death. As a member of Cedar Grove Christian Church, she was the Mother of the Church and a dedicated choir member.

 Loving relatives who preceded her death: Father, Johnny Wright; Mother, Maggie Wright; Son, Raymond Anderson; Sister, Maudie Mims; Three Brothers -- Alvin, Odell, and Willie James Wright, Two Grandsons -- Raymount and Kerry Spencer.

She leaves to cherish her memories Arthur Ray (Kathryn) of Rowlett,TX; Bill (Joyce) of Rockwall, TX; Harold (Beverly) of Grand Prairie, TX; Charles of Rowlett, TX; Michael and Ronnie of Rockwall, TX; and Stanley Scroggins (Kathy) of Garland, TX; Alice Sharp (Dewitt) of Garland, TX; Jo Williams (Freddie) of Rockwall, TX, and Bernice Rose (Raymond) of Rowlett, TX.

Five (5) sisters: Johnnie Mae Napoleon (Willie) of Dallas, TX; Ruby Shelby of Rockwall, TX; Velma Coleman of Garland, TX; Dorothy Terrell of Lancaster, TX, and Doris Brown (Roscoe) of Rockwall, Texas.

Three Sister-in-Laws and One Brother in Law.

Twenty-Six (26) grandchildren; Fifty (50) great-grandchildren; Thirty (30) great, great-grandchildren; host of relatives and friends.
