Board Chairman/ Deacon- The Chairman of the Board presides at all regular business and/or special meetings. He must be an elder or a deacon with experience in church management and/or church administration. Our present Chairman brings a rich history from childhood, walking in the steps of his father before him, with experience in both of these areas. As a deacon, he cooperates with elders in promoting the growth and welfare of the church; assists in the greeting and meeting of worshippers; prepares and distributes the Lord’s Supper; blesses and is presented offerings; assist in financial canvasses; ministers to families in times of sickness and bereavement; prepares candidates for baptism as well as such other duties as may be assigned. |
