Cleaning Ministry Chairperson

Duties and Responsibilities

The Cleaning Ministry Chairperson provides leadership and oversight of the Cleaning Ministry at Cedar Grove Christian Church. The Chairperson is responsible for coordinating cleaning activities, maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of church facilities, and ensuring that the church provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for worship, fellowship, and ministry activities.

The Cleaning Ministry serves the church through faithful stewardship, teamwork, and dedication to maintaining God's house.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and oversee the daily, weekly, and special cleaning needs of the church.

  • Develop cleaning schedules and coordinate responsibilities among ministry members and volunteers.

  • Ensure that the sanctuary, fellowship hall, classrooms, restrooms, offices, kitchen, and other church facilities are properly cleaned and maintained.

  • Coordinate cleaning and preparation of church facilities before and after worship services, meetings, special programs, and church events.

  • Work collaboratively with the Deacons Ministry, Trustees, and other church ministries to address cleaning and facility maintenance needs.

  • Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment and communicate purchasing needs to the appropriate church leadership.

  • Encourage teamwork, accountability, and active participation among Cleaning Ministry members.

  • Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or facility repairs to church leadership.

  • Promote proper sanitation, cleanliness, and care of church property.

  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with cleaning responsibilities when needed.

  • Provide regular updates to church leadership regarding ministry activities, cleaning schedules, and facility needs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor and church leadership.

Through faithful service, dedication, and teamwork, the Cleaning Ministry Chairperson helps maintain a welcoming and orderly environment where members and visitors can gather to worship, fellowship, and grow together in Christ.
